Frequently Asked Questions

StreetBell is a cutting-edge safety tool designed to keep your neighborhood secure. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

What is StreetBell?

StreetBell is a neighborhood safety tool that provides real-time alerts for unfamiliar vehicles entering your community. It acts as a proactive digital doorbell, offering a level of safety and collaboration that traditional systems lack.

StreetBell monitors vehicles at neighborhood entrances, detecting unfamiliar ones. When an unfamiliar vehicle is detected, residents receive instant notifications through the StreetBell app.

You can then:

  • Monitor the vehicle,
  • Safelist it, or
  • Add it to a watchlist for closer scrutiny.
Getting started with StreetBell is easy. Our experts define the neighborhood perimeter, install the monitoring devices, and residents download the StreetBell app to link to the system.
Residents can safelist vehicles of friends, family, or service providers with a single tap. Once a vehicle is safelisted, it won’t trigger alerts for the neighborhood, and no data is stored on it.

You can customize alerts to suit your schedule and security needs. Choose to receive notifications for:

  • All unfamiliar vehicles, or
  • Only vehicles on the Neighborhood Watch list.
  • Priority alerts can also override silent settings for watchlisted vehicles.
